This August, my brother and I are taking on the grueling Leadville 100 MTB not just for the challenge, but for a cause that means the world to us—the Chris Klug Foundation (CKF), a nonprofit that educates on the importance of organ, eye, & tissue donation! Not only will we be riding in their honor, but we will also be fundraising for their cause, in support of organ, eye & tissue donation.
Organ donation is deeply personal to our family. Our mother selflessly donated her kidney to the paired exchange program so that our father could receive a life-saving kidney transplant. Without the generosity of organ donors and the support of organizations like the Chris Klug Foundation, our story—and so many others—might have had a different outcome.
The Chris Klug Foundation works tirelessly to raise awareness about organ donation and the impact it has on saving lives. We’re riding in honor of our parents’ journey and to support those still waiting for their second chance at life.
We would be incredibly grateful for your support—whether through a donation, sharing our page, or simply cheering us on as we tackle this race. Every contribution brings hope to those in need of a transplant.
Thank you for being part of this mission with us!
