After a long labor and a complex reverse breech C-section, Sabine "Beanie" Evers Solove made her entrance on December 4, 2023, at 1:21 AM, weighing 7 lbs 0.7 oz and measuring 20 inches long.
Due to respiratory distress, low Apgar scores, and mild hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), Beanie was immediately admitted to the NICU at Fairview Hospital. It was a harrowing five days, but thanks to therapeutic hypothermia cooling treatments and the fantastic care team at Fairview, Sabine was able to come home. Today, she is living a vibrant, healthy, and joyful life.
While Sabine’s NICU stay was relatively brief compared to what many families endure, we felt the deep weight of those days. The NICU is a unique place—filled with everyday miracles, but also profound heartbreak. We are raising funds so that no family in the NICU ever feels like they have to walk that path alone.
