At the time of her passing, Camille was just months away from completing her PhD on the genetic analysis of the wild black rhino subpopulation. While working on her PhD, Camille strived to share her enthusiasm for wildlife and environmental conservation with children. She often took time out of her busy schedule to educate kids about what it means to be a scientist by hosting “Talk with a Scientist” zoom calls with classrooms around the world. She recognized the gender disparity in her field and really hoped to ignite a spark in young girls, to expand their knowledge and follow their dreams. The CGF seeks to continue Camille’s efforts by awarding scholarships to aid in young women’s post graduate education in the fields of wildlife and environmental conservation.
All money raised will go towards the above mentioned scholarships.
