Madeline Amy Sweeney was a devoted mother, wife, and flight attendant whose courage and professionalism shined during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. While aboard American Airlines Flight 11, she calmly relayed critical information to ground personnel, helping authorities better understand the unfolding attacks and providing details that would prove invaluable. We run this 5K in her honor, celebrating her bravery, selflessness, and the lasting impact of her actions. Please consider donating (or joining our team) if you are able!

Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes and their families.
