Thomas Yount is the founder of Clean Earth Future, a game publishing studio dedicated to climate literacy and environmental justice. His flagship board game “Climate Cooldown” was released in the summer of 2023 and since then has been played in schools and homes around the nation and even featured in the Los Angeles Times in September 2024. Clean Earth Future has been partnering with nature centers, non-profit organizations and academic institutions with the goal of making climate education more accessible, fun, and to help inspire community engagement and civic action through game-based learning. Thomas has presented at multiple academic conferences on topics relating to climate literacy, civic ecology, climate doomerism, and social-emotional learning. He is also an active member of the Climate Reality Project LA Chapter’s Climate Curriculum Committee as well as Cornell University’s Civic Ecology Lab’s International Learning Community.
