Collingswood Candle Company was founded in spring of 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic. Our founder, Ann, found herself re-evaluating what is important in life. How could she find a craft that made her happy, bring joy to people all around the area and provide some stability to her and home with 3 kitty cats Mommie, Tiny Mortin and Scarlett. It was at this point she recalled playing around with making candles when she was younger. She decided to place a few items in her cart to experiment with and the rest is history.
Creating beautiful and wonderful smelling candles had always brought her a certain sense of fun, relaxation and also in the process of creating the candles she found it to be both extremely therapeutic and exciting.
Next she started small with a Facebook page and making free deliveries to homes in Collingswood, NJ and the immediate surrounding areas. Summer time brought the farmers markets and was invited to sell and promote our candles at Westmont Farmers Market. From there she was invited to participate in the Fall and Holiday Crafters Markets in Haddon Township. Since then it has been a constant but slow growth which she is comfortable with. It gives more time to experiment and create new and fun items for you to enjoy!
