Hello everyone!! I’m running my first ever half marathon while raising money for my local hospital, Hoag. In high school in college I thought medical school was a far away dream, and I sure didn’t like running. I struggled with a pre-diabetes diagnoses and the challenges of being pre-med at UCLA. After graduating from college, I moved home and began working as a scribe at the Hoag ER. It was there I learned the role exercise plays in health and wellness. I began to run, and I also began to love every second learning from Hoag Doctors while working in the ER. Hoag Hospital has not only helped me achieve my goal of attending medical school this fall, but it has changed my perspective on the meaning of health.
Not only has Hoag immensely supported me, but I have seen first hand how the passion and kindness of every employee at Hoag helps serve the community of Orange County.
