Hi! My name is Isabella Wang, and I’m a sophomore at Beckman High School and the Co-Captain of Team SW1FT, a STEM Racing team made up of high school students from Orange County.
After months of designing, engineering, and collaborating, I’m thrilled to share that our team won 3rd place nationally at the STEM Racing National Finals—and we were the only team from California to win at Nationals! We also took home two special awards: Best Newcomer and Best Digital Media. Now, we’ve been selected to represent the U.S. at the World Finals in Singapore this September!
STEM Racing (formerly F1 in Schools) is an international competition where students create miniature Formula 1 cars while also building real-world skills in business, marketing, and public speaking. It’s an incredible blend of creativity, STEM, and leadership—and this journey has been life-changing.
To help our team get to Worlds, I’m running the OC Half Marathon to raise funds for our travel, shipping, and registration costs. Every donation—no matter how small—brings us one step closer to competing on the global stage and proudly representing California and Beckman High School.
Thank you for supporting me and Team SW1FT.
Let’s SW1FTly make it to Singapore together! 💙🇸🇬
