We’ve all been touched by Cancer - it is far reaching.
My family has been affected by this disease in such ways, that we are still asking the question, “Why?”.
- 1 in 8 women in the U.S., will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. (nationalbreastcancer.org) - Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancer. (nationalbreastcancer.org) - On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States.(nationalbreastcancer.org)
- Prostate, lung, and colorectal cancers account for an estimated 48% of all cancers diagnosed in men in 2024. For women, the three most common cancers are breast, lung, and colorectal, and they will account for an estimated 51% of all new cancer diagnoses in women in 2024. (Cancer.gov) - Cancer is among the leading causes of death worldwide. In 2022, there were almost 20 million new cases and 9.7 million cancer-related deaths worldwide. (Cancer.gov)
I know soo many that have won the battle against cancer (and are still fighting) and many who did not. So, I Run/Walk Because…of the warriors who have come up against cancer is kicking its butt!!
