Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, Jesse Owens 5K, 1 Mile & Kids Run

Dear Family and Friends,

I am so excited and honored to participate as a Children's Champion in partnership with the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon &1/2 Marathon. A lot has happened over the past couple of years and the hospital and the patients they treat still need our support.

Now, more than ever, the dollars we raise are critical. So many of us are experiencing challenges like we have never faced in our lifetime and, as you can imagine, Nationwide Children’s Hospital is no exception. 

My personal fundraising goal for this is $500 and the program is Behavioral Health Research! Any contribution you can make is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the lives of children and families worldwide. Nationwide Children's Hospital is proud to treat patients from 50 states and over 60 countries.

I am fundraising for Behavioral Health Research because I work in children’s behavioral health. To some, they may not see the need for research because it can be hard to imagine a kids with any type of mental health diagnosis, but being in the field you know it is so important. Going into work everyday, I see the challenges that kids face, some being as young as kindergarten. Continuing research into various interventions can provide such a stepping stone to help providers find different techniques and what works best with the individual they are working with. Working in behavioral health has had such a positive impact on me and I hope with more research it can start making a bigger impact on those who obtain mental health resources!
