Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, Jesse Owens 5K, 1 Mile & Kids Run

Dear Family and Friends,

I am so excited and honored to participate as a Children's Champion in partnership with the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon &1/2 Marathon. A lot has happened over the past couple of years and the hospital and the patients they treat still need our support.

Now, more than ever, the dollars we raise are critical. So many of us are experiencing challenges like we have never faced in our lifetime and, as you can imagine, Nationwide Children’s Hospital is no exception. 

My personal fundraising goal for this program is $1000.00. Any contribution you can make is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the lives of children and families worldwide. Nationwide Children's Hospital is proud to treat patients from 50 states and over 60 countries.

I am running for my grandson, Nixon Palte, who at only five-years-old, passed away from an aggressive brain tumor in April of 2026. Nixon was the light of my life and I would have done anything to find a cure for his cancer. However, God had different plans for Nixon. Your donation towards pediatric cancer will not only help patients like Nixon, who received excellent care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, but help find a cure for cancer.
