Established in 2017, the Second Wind Foundation works in Honduran communities throughout Tegucigalpa to provide job skills through our sewing and leather skills programs. Â We strive to equip them so they can provide for themselves, their families, and their neighbors by creating businesses and/or using their skills and labors in their local area. By providing them with skills, they are much less likely to undertake the risk and undergo the dangerous road to come to the US. Â We empower, educate, equip, and enrich those who are most impoverished. In addition to our skills programs, we support fifty families every month by providing them with shelf stable food to help them get by. Â We distribute over 9,000 pounds of food every year. Over the years, we have also helped our communities by providing hurricane relief, building latrines, and homes.Â
