The Story of Grandmaster Ameris

Grandmaster Ameris is a man whose strength is matched only by his unwavering love and dedication to his family, friends, and community. A devoted father, husband, and friend, he has been a beacon of hope, kindness, and resilience to all who know him. His journey is one of courage, compassion, and an indomitable spirit that has inspired countless lives.

Last year, Grandmaster Ameris faced one of the most formidable opponents of his life—sarcoma. But if there’s one thing that Grandmaster Ameris has always known how to do, it’s fight. With the same discipline, dedication, and perseverance that he has shown throughout his life, he went into battle. Through every hardship, every setback, and every difficult moment, he remained steadfast—showing the same love and courage he always had for his family and students.

This year, as Team TKD Ameris, we are coming together to continue the fight against sarcoma. We're raising money and participating in the annual Run/Walk for Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma—an organization that holds deep significance for all of us. This volunteer-led group is working tirelessly to find a cure for this devastating disease, and we are honored to join the fight alongside them. While we pray for the day when a cure is found, we will continue to stand strong in the battle, raising funds and awareness to support research and bring hope to those who need it most. Every dollar we raise, every step we take in this walk, and every word we speak is a part of the effort to make sure that no one else has to face this disease alone.

Grandmaster Ameris has shown us what it truly means to fight, to love, and to live with purpose. This is our chance to honor his courage and continue his mission—to help in the battle against sarcoma and, one day, find a cure. Together, as Team TKD Ameris, we walk, we run, and we fight—for Grandmaster Ameris, for everyone battling sarcoma, and for a future where this disease no longer holds power over us.
