ACMS Race Day Details
We are excited to see everyone on Saturday! Here are the main details for ACMS team members, families, and guests.
Location: North Park Boathouse, 10301 Pearce Mill Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101
Run/Walk Start: 9:00 a.m.
Parking:
Please park at the North Park swimming pool or skating rink lots and take the shuttle to the Boathouse. Shuttles run from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Check-in:
When you arrive, stop at registration/check-in to pick up your race packet and event T-shirt. Runners will also receive their timing chip there. Check-in is open from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m.
ACMS Team Photo:
Please meet in front of the OTB Bicycle Cafe entrance at 8:30 a.m. for a quick ACMS team photo before the run/walk begins. Please give yourself enough time to park, take the shuttle, check in, and get to the photo spot by 8:30.
What to wear:
This is casual. There is no ACMS dress code or special team outfit. Many people will likely wear the event T-shirt after picking it up.
After the photo:
Everyone can enjoy the morning in whatever way works best. Walk, run, go at your own pace, join friends or family, or just hang out and enjoy the event.
If you are mainly coming to cheer, visit, or enjoy the morning and are not actively walking or running, feel free to bring a chair so you have a comfortable spot to relax.
Dogs:
Leashed dogs are welcome, but dogs are not permitted on the shuttles. PCS asks that anyone bringing a dog park at the Rose Barn lot.

ACMS Physicians Showing Up for Sarcoma Patients, Families, and Research
The Allegheny County Medical Society team is participating in the Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma Run/Walk to support sarcoma research, patient advocacy, and the families impacted by this rare and complex cancer.
This is an easy, low-pressure way for ACMS physicians to stand with patients and families, support the researchers driving progress, and help bring more attention to a cancer that needs it.
Our team’s participation is inspired by Dr. Mark A. Goodman, a retired orthopaedic surgeon, longtime ACMS member, and Chair of the Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma Board of Directors. His leadership reflects the best of physician service: using expertise, relationships, and community influence to help move care and research forward.
Who should join?
ACMS physicians are invited to join the team and bring their people with them. Family, friends, colleagues, kids, strollers, and dogs are welcome.
Do I need to run?
No. You can walk, run, cheer, or simply come be part of the morning.
Do my guests need to be ACMS members?
No. The ACMS physician is the team connection, but guests do not need to be physicians or ACMS members.
Is it okay if I have never participated before?
Absolutely. First-timers are welcome. This is our first time hosting a team! And its a community event with a mix of participants, pace levels, ages, and reasons for showing up.
Can I support the team if I cannot attend?
Yes. Donations to the ACMS team are welcome and help support Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma’s work in research, advocacy, and patient-centered support.
We have already passed our original fundraising goal, but we are not stopping there. Every additional gift helps build momentum for Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma and the patients, families, clinicians, and researchers connected to this mission.
Please consider donating, joining the ACMS team, or sharing this page with someone who may want to support the cause.
