This July I am riding in the annual Bike Hut Classic fundraiser ride in support of Abundant Grace Coastside Worker and their effort to address the homeless crisis on the Coast. I'll be climbing the epic Tunitas Creek Road through the Redwoods from the Bike Hut to Skyline. Not something I look forward to but my small sacrifice can make such a difference to those who need the support and assistance provided by this amazing organization.
This is my third year participating in the Bike Hut Classic but will be my first year fundraising but with each passing year I recognize the difficulties ensured by our local community and the increasing stress and hardship imposed on both the coastal community and generally in San Mateo County. It sounds very cliché but every dollar counts but if all my friends gave one dollar and shared with a friend I would be forever grateful.
I look forward to continuing my training and completing this ride mid July and sharing my results.
