This July I am riding in the annual Bike Hut Classic fundraiser ride in support of Abundant Grace Coastside Worker and their effort to address the homeless crisis on the Coast. I’ve been so fortunate to spend a bit of time farming with them last year and am a huge fan of the people involved in this great organization and the work they do!
Adam and I will be cycling up the epic Tunitas Creek Road on the tandem from the Bike Hut to Skyline. It’s a gorgeous climb through the redwoods that starts at the self-service bike hut Abundant Grace has set up for cyclists passing the farm to get a drink, snack, bike tools, or just take a load off before starting the climb.
The amazing team at Abundant Grace serves the local homeless community by offering meaningful employment through work opportunities including learning agricultural skills at an organic farm and giving away tons of fresh produce to low-income families; as well as environmental clean-up projects at beaches, trails, and creeks.
