The BRAIN Foundation’s mission is to support translational research leading to development of FDA-approved treatments and an improved standard of care for co-morbidities in individuals with autism spectrum disorder. We work closely with the families, researchers, and industry to accelerate the most promising and impactful treatments to help our community, and focus on educating medical professionals who are often unaware of the common and potentially treatable health challenges associated with ASD.
We do this by:
- Funding the most promising translational research that is too early or overlooked by government agencies to accelerate the time between bench to bedside
- Hosting an annual symposium "Synchrony" to connect families, researchers, and resources in order to speed progress and focus on real life priorities
- Supporting clinical trials both on the family side and researcher and industry side to facilitate progress
Our organization uniquely synchronizes all the parts of the autism research ecosystem towards real progress.
