MIKE DOTY LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE FUND 
The Mike Doty Law Enforcement Assistance Fund (“Doty Fund”) provides support to York 
County law enforcement officers and their families who have experienced a serious injury or 
illness, or any other catastrophic event. 
The Doty Fund can provide temporary financial aid to law enforcement officers and their 
families during their time of need. 
Law enforcement officers or their family members may request financial assistance for reasons 
that include, but are not limited to, the following: - - - - 
Expenses associated with a debilitating illness or injury to an officer, their spouse, or 
dependent children  
Assistance with medical expenses not covered by health insurance, to include travel, 
lodging, meals, and parking 
Disaster relief, such as needed in the aftermath of a tornado, house fire, or flood 
Other circumstances where the law enforcement officer or their family member has no 
means or remedy 
Applications may be submitted by the individual in need of assistance or by another individual 
familiar with the circumstances giving rise to the need for assistance. 
Awards from the Doty Fund are not intended to be recurring in nature or an income replacement.  
It is not intended to be a death benefit.  Doty Fund resources are limited and the Sheriff’s 
Foundation of York County, Inc. reserves the right to make changes as needed. 
Applications will remain confidential and will be reviewed by a committee from the Sheriff’s 
Foundation of York County, Inc.  The committee may contact the submitter if additional 
information is needed.
