As a volunteer at Longmont Humane Society for nearly 8 years I have seen firsthand the love and dedication the staff and volunteers have for the animals. Ellie is a Longmont Humane Society alumnus and a transfer from Texas. She was one of the dogs I walked my first day of volunteering and I was the first person at the door when the shelter opened the following day to adopt her!
Incredibly Longmont Humane Society matches about 3,500 homeless pets with their forever homes per year, now celebrating a 98% live return rate! This is possible thanks to the hard work of the Training and Behavior Modification Department, nationally-known for taking in animals that others have given up on. I would like to put a big spotlight on this incredible team as we focus my fundraising efforts to saving lives in Longmont and far beyond. Please help me to help them!
