My pregnant (biological) mom was rescued from Texas where she was going to be put down with me, my brothers and sister in her belly. I am so fortunate that my mom and dad have given me the best forever home. I get to sleep in the bed with them, lay on the couch, daily treats, and travel all over with them. Mom takes me for 3 mile runs in the morning already, so we want to do this charity 5k for a purpose greater than me and mom wanting to lose weight without eating less. (The vet says I need to lose 10 pounds!)

Longmont Humane Society matches about 3,500 homeless pets with their forever homes per year! Sometimes, pets in their care need extra treatment for disease, injuries, or other serious traumas that require help outside of their normal shelter capacity.
