From One-Tooth Wonder to Forever Home: How You Can Help More Stories Like Ours
Our hearts ached when we lost our beloved senior cat, Tucker, to cancer. We longed to open our home to another sweet senior kitty, but weren't sure where to start. That's when the amazing Longmont Humane Society stepped in and played cupid (or should we say, cat-pid?) for us! The foster coordinator knew exactly what we were looking for and introduced us to the most loving, scruffy senior cat you've ever seen. He was a tiny ball of fur (all of 6 pounds!) with one lone tooth, but his eyes held a world of love. It was instant purr-sonal connection!
This little old man found his forever retirement home with us, complete with endless snuggles, a mountain of toys, and the comfiest beds a kitty could dream of. He even has (slightly bewildered) new brothers to keep him company! We adore him to pieces and can't thank Longmont Humane Society enough for giving this special cat a second chance at a happy life.
But our story isn't unique. Longmont Humane Society works its magic every single day, matching about 3,500 homeless pets with their forever families each year! Their incredible 98% live return rate speaks volumes about the dedication and expertise of their staff, especially the Training and Behavior Modification Department. This team is nationally recognized for taking in animals that other shelters have given up on, giving them the love, training, and care they need to blossom. That's why I'm participating in the Longmont Humane Society's Fund-Race! My goal is to raise money and shine a spotlight on this incredible team who saves countless lives in Longmont and beyond.
With your donation, you can help write the next heartwarming chapter for another lost soul. Please donate today and be a part of the magic!
