Hi Friends. We did it! Less than a year after being diagnosed with aggressive triple negative stage 2b invasive ductal carcinoma and after almost 6 months of chemo, one lumpectomy, 33 rounds of radiation and ongoing immunotherapy, I am now considered cancer free! Why do I say “we” did it? Because I never could have traveled this path alone. And I never could have conquered this disease alone. So thank you. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for every prayer, every kind word of encouragement, every thought, hope and good vibe sent my way.
And now it’s my turn to give back. Support Sisterz was one of my biggest sources of strength on this journey. They encouraged me, cheered me on, held me close when I needed to cry and made me feel deeply deeply loved. On a practical level, they put food on my table, gas in my car and helped me pay my bills when the pressure of diminishing finances reached my home.
So now it’s my turn to help raise money and give back so that they can do the same for the next woman who has to travel the same path of breast cancer diagnosis. Every cent raised by the Support Sisterz goes right back out to the women in need. Not a single board member takes a paycheck for their tireless work. Last year I raised $800 with your help.
