My name is Rosie Mayr, and I am a breast cancer survivor.
In May 2025, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Just two months later, I underwent a double mastectomy—a decision that changed my life. During that overwhelming time, I was fortunate to be surrounded by a strong, supportive community. One person who made a lasting impact was Kris from Support Sisterz. As my “Survivor Sister,” Kris guided me through the fear, the decisions, and the healing. Her strength gave me hope when I needed it most.
Why is our team name Team 5150?
When I checked into the hospital for my mastectomy, my patient number was 5150. Some of my friends affectionately call me “Crazy Rosie”, so I couldn’t help but laugh at the timing. In a moment of fear, that small detail gave me a reason to smile. It reminded me to find humor and strength in hard times—and that’s what Team 5150 is all about.
Why Join Team 5150?
Because no one fights alone. Every step we take and every dollar we raise helps support Support Sisterz, an incredible local organization providing emotional and financial support to breast cancer patients in Corona, Eastvale, and Norco.
Whether you walk with us, donate, or simply spread the word, your support makes a difference.
🌸 Our Fundraising Goal: $1,500.00 or more. Help us reach it by making a donation.
Let’s lace up, show up, and fight back — one step at a time.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining me on this journey.
Together, we can COMBAT CANCER.
