In my home state of NJ, for every $1 of wealth a white household has, a Latino household has 2 cents. A Black household has even less.
This is a stark manifestation of systemic factors that have disadvantaged so many of our neighbors. So let's change that. Elevate+ offers a simple solution: Help youth from disadvantaged and disenfranchised communities be at the same starting line as everyone else. An internship equates to dramatically higher earning potential, career achievement, and stability. Elevate+ ensures that BIPOC low-income youth, who have much less access to quality internships, can gain the benefits of those experiences.
Our miles to impact is simple: I am hoping to get my weight below Dave Kingman's batting average in 1982 when he led the league in home runs. So I am stepping up--and stepping forward for Elevate+. Please contribute some amount for every mile I log in September.
