Why I Ride

In August 2022, I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: you have cancer. I was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma, and what followed was a journey filled with uncertainty, determination, and hope.

For more than three years, cancer became part of my daily life. Treatments, appointments, scans, and countless moments of waiting tested me in ways I never imagined. In November 2025, I completed treatment, and today I am grateful to be cancer free. While I continue to have scans every three months, each clear result is a reminder of how precious life truly is.

My journey would not have been possible without the researchers, physicians, nurses, caregivers, family, and friends who stood beside me every step of the way. Because of advances in cancer research, I have been given the opportunity to look forward to the future.

That is why I ride for Pedal the Cause. Every mile represents gratitude for the care I received and hope for those who are still fighting. Every dollar raised helps fund lifesaving cancer research that can lead to better treatments and better outcomes for patients and families facing this disease.

I ride to celebrate survivorship, honor those we have lost, and support those who are currently battling cancer. Thank you for helping make a difference.
