I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
I am riding this year in memory of my dear friend, Missy Stranger. Missy battled a rare leukemia bravely, but ultimately succumbed to the disease in September 2021. Missy suffered for many years from lupus, and there is evidence that some experimental drugs she was prescribed may have contributed toward her developing cancer. The world has been a little darker and less joyful since she left us.
