Pedal the Cause

Cancer has left its fingerprints all over my life. I've seen people I care about go through it, and it's brutal. Watching that up close makes you want to do more than just shake your head and say "that's awful." It makes you want to fight back.

I ride for Chris's Crusaders, a team named after my wife's grandpa, who beat cancer more than once and never stopped fighting. That's the spirit behind the name, and it's the spirit behind every mile I put in.
I also ride for the people who are already here because of research like this, the ones who got the better outcome because someone funded the work before they needed it. That's what keeps me pedaling. Every mile is a push back against cancer, and hopefully a better shot for someone who hasn't been diagnosed yet.
