Thank you for supporting me in this historic, once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will carry on the legacy of the 29 men lost on the Edmund Fitzgerald 50 years ago. By helping me meet my fundraising goal in my 50th year, you are also helping renovate the Whitefish Point Lighthouse that safeguards mariners along Lake Superior's "Shipwreck Coast."
I will be swimming as part of a relay team to complete Stage 2. I am excited, and honoured, to be part of this historic event.
As many of you know, I love swimming wild and free in any body of water whenever I can get the chance, but I call Lake Ontario my swimming pool. I will continue to swim into winter in Lake Ontario in order to be prepared to swim the cold waters of Lake Superior with my teammates next year. Just keep swimming!
