I am honored to serve as the Hadassah Southern California Region President and excited to share that I am supporting Hadassah by participating in this year’s Walk to Heal Israel! My fundraising will help Hadassah’s ongoing work to benefit the significant rehabilitation efforts underway as a result of the war in Israel.
Hadassah recently opened the Gandel Rehabilitation Center at Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital. Unbelievably, there has never been an inpatient rehab center in Jerusalem (a city of over 1 million residents) until the opening of the Gandel Rehabilitation Center. It was greatly needed before October 7 – and the need has only exponentially increased since October 7. This rehabilitation center is state-of-the-art and I was honored to be there in January for a tour of the facility and the formal dedication (6 months ahead of schedule) and when we opened to begin treating patients.
Currently, over 3,000 people are in need of rehabilitation services, and we anticipate the need continuing for years to come. This includes physical therapy, a variety of medical therapies, and critical counseling services and mental health initiatives to help our IDF soldiers, Hadassah health care workers and others dealing with the horrendous trauma they’ve endured.
Please join me in supporting our beloved Israel alongside our Hadassah Southern California community by Registering Here and/or by making a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
