This year, we’re lacing up our sneakers and joining the Memory Matters Move Your Mind 5K—walking and running in honor of the many loved ones in our lives affected by dementia, stroke, and cognitive decline.
Each step we take is a tribute to the strength of caregivers, the resilience of families, and the love that surrounds those living with memory loss. Whether you're walking for a parent, a grandparent, a neighbor, or a friend, we invite you to join us.
This year in particular feels especially meaningful. It’s been a tough one for our family—we lost two dear loved ones, including my Dad, who passed away after suffering several strokes that affected his memory and cognitive function. We're walking to honor him, and all those impacted by memory loss, both here and gone.
We hope you’ll stand with us—in motion and in spirit—as we raise awareness and support for families across the Lowcountry who are caring for someone with dementia. Together, we can walk with purpose, share in community, and make a real difference.
Let’s walk this journey—side by side.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Stacy
