I’ll try to keep my story short- I am walking because I helped my uncle take care of my grandmother (my mema) who had Alzheimer’s. I was in my early 20s and she meant the world to me. I am walking  because my dad’s mom and his sister had Alzheimer’s at very young ages and have since passed. 
I am walking because I have proudly worked in memory care as a Physical Therapist Assistant for almost 11 years and I have also proudly worked for Memory  Matters! I am walking to honor all those who have passed that I cared so much for.. who will always remain in my heart..I am walking because I adore the ones who are still with us so much! I am walking for the all the care takers and all the care partners out there who need someone to walk for them ! I walk because every moment matters!
