Story

Hi Friends and Family,

It's once again the time of year when I try to rally the troops to walk in or support the Memory Matters 5K.   I hope you will join me.

This year, more than ever, my heart and love goes out to those caregivers supporting loved ones with Alzheimer's or dementia.   As most of you know, Memory Matters was founded almost 30 years ago on Hilton Head Island to provide respite for caregivers.   For as many years, they have been offering day programs for those living with Alzheimer's.  I have walked in the Memory Matters 5K every year since its inception and Team Triple Threat has always been a leading fundraising team.

Over the past year and especially past 2 months, I have been reminded of how exhausting, scary, lonely but incredibly REWARDING being a caregiver is as I have been caring for Julian, my mom and my dad.   I am keenly aware that without Memory Matters, families in Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort and beyond would be walking the Alzheimer's journey alone.

Please join me on the morning of  September 19, 2026 as we walk to raise funds for Memory Matters.  Your support means those with Alzheimer's and their caregivers receive the help and support they need and deserve.

Love,

Kim
