Our team, Coleman's Crew, is named for my daughter's dog (my grand dog). Born from a backyard breeding, Coleman (2007-2025) was a small dog with a gigantic heart who picked his human as much as she picked him. A one person dog, who adored Michelle and was willing to accept those in her life. When you received the Cole snort of approval you knew you had been accepted into the inner circle of Cole's world.
Anderson Humane Society is a 501c3, not for profit, organization which operates both a companion animal shelter as well as a wildlife facility. Did you know that the volunteers are not paid personnel? Compensation for companion animal volunteers comes in the form of kisses, paws reaching out, trust. The average cost to provide care for 1 Mallard duck was $42.00 while Raccoon's care was $471.00? Imagine the cost per animal for dogs, cats, and other small companion animals. How about the cost to run the Veterinary clinic? Provide training for the volunteers, including the Veteran's program and the Food Pantry? It all costs $$, which is why Coleman's Crew is proud to participate in the 2025 race.
So, here's the bottom line...we need your help! Please make a donation to Anderson Humane Society. This team is not looking for awards or recognition we are simply looking to assist in the rescue and rehabilitation of both companion animals and wildlife. Every dollar donated helps save a life. So, how about it...what do you say...did you know you could be a hero?
