This August, I'll be running the Tails and Trails 5K to raise funds for Great Lakes Dog Rescue and I'm hoping to raise $1,500 to help more dogs get the care they need before finding their forever homes.
What many people don't see is everything that happens behind the scenes to prepare rescue dogs for successful adoption. At Great Lakes Dog Rescue, we do so much more than simply provide shelter. Many rescue dogs come to us scared, neglected, sick, or simply overlooked. Before they're ready for adoption, they need care, patience, medical attention, and love. We make sure dogs receive medical care, vaccinations, treatments, microchips, enrichment activities, and the training support they need to thrive. Some dogs even receive professional training through Paws Plus You (huge shout out to Wendy & Allison, thank you for all you do!) and Nose Eyes Ears Dog Training (huge shout out to Kyler, thank you for all you do!) to help them build confidence and become adoption ready.
Every dog deserves safety, care, and a real chance at a happy future and every dollar donated helps make that possible.
Whether it's $1, $10, or simply sharing this fundraiser, your support truly adds up and makes a meaningful difference in the lives of dogs waiting for their second chance. Together we can help more dogs get the second chance they've been waiting for.
Thank you for helping us change lives, one tail wag at a time. 💕🐾
