Established in 2021, the John Carr Memorial Rugby Fund is the official fundraising vehicle for the Men's Rugby Alumni Association. John Carr's legacy of supporting the Men's Rugby Club lives on through a 501(c)(3) entity that provides the ability for the JMU Men's Rugby Alumni Association to raise tax-deductible funds to support the Men's Rugby Team. To date, the JCMRF has provided funds to endow and name the Rugby field "John Carr Field" and replace the non-functioning scoreboard, supported international coaches to train the Men's team, and recently purchased a Veo Cam to allow the team to record and stream games going forward. Through the JCMRF, the Men's Rugby Alumni Association can support ongoing operating expenses and larger capital projects to continue to push the Men's program forward.
