The Department of Cultural Affairs plays a central role in the success of the Move MGM Run Series—supporting all three annual events: the Bunny Hop, Color Run, and Gobble Wobble. According to the department’s internal Move MGM briefing, Cultural Affairs is responsible for coordinating event logistics, managing community partnerships, and delivering high‑quality, family‑friendly programming that advances the City of Montgomery’s health and wellness initiatives.

Led by Jennifer Dobbs, Director of Cultural Affairs, the department provides year‑round planning support, interdepartmental coordination, marketing asset production, and on‑site event operations. This includes collaborating with sponsors, managing communications, creating or reviewing graphics, and ensuring each run meets the city’s standard for safe, accessible, and engaging community events.

Their continued commitment enables Move MGM to deliver three high‑impact events annually—bringing together thousands of participants, strengthening community wellness, and generating charitable support for the Heart of Alabama Food Bank.
