Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes and their families.
As the Monroe County Professional Firefighters Local 3909, we are proud to form a team for the Tunnel to Towers Run in Big Pine Key. This cause is deeply personal to us, as the Foundation stood by the family of our brother, Herve Thomas, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their support meant the world to us and to his loved ones, and we are forever grateful.
Through this team and our fundraising efforts, we hope to honor Herve’s memory and all fallen firefighters by giving back to the Foundation that does so much good.
