Wyatt is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Leukemia January 28th, 2025. To say our world was turned upside down when we received the news is an understatement! He is a very sweet and caring little boy! Wyatt already overcame challenges from a young age. He had a speech delay and has anxiety that affects how he handles certain situations. He has worked very hard at preschool to overcome his speech delay and learning coping methods to handle uncomfortable situations. He has battled once and will now battle again. Wyatt is a very active kid so being slowed down by this disease has started to affect him. That's why when we found this project we just knew we had to be a part of this family! Wyatt loves to run! He would always run and chase people, it was his favorite way to play with other kids. We would time him as he ran around the yard, his favorite game is tag and he would find any excuse to race anyone! Project run has given our family something to look forward too. This is why we are asking family and friends to donate in some way to this amazing project! You can join us during the run/walk physically or you can join virtually! There are also tickets for a Kid sprint that kids 10 and under can participate in and there are also just Festival tickets to get in and have fun without running or walking! You can also just donate money towards the Project if that works out better for you! Every single ticket or donation will help this amazing project continue to run and provide special shoes for not only the brave kids fighting cancer but the siblings who help cheer them along.
