Metropolitan Family Services has more than 1,100 full-and part-time professional staff dedicated to providing quality services to families throughout Chicago, DuPage County, Evanston/ Skokie and the southwest suburbs. Metropolitan serves more than 122,970 families and individuals as diverse as the communities in which they live, with 81% being part of the working poor or lower-middle class.

The Metropolitan Peace Academy professionalizes the field of street outreach through intensive training for outreach professionals. Curriculum focuses on:

Nonviolence
Trauma-informed services
Restorative justice

Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P), convened by the Metropolitan Peace Initiatives, is a coalition of local Chicago providers that provide community violence intervention, a comprehensive, long-term approach to reducing gun violence in communities at highest risk.
