Mission:

Respite Suites will provide person-centered, short-term post-hospital care to adults who require a safe place to heal. Our integrated care model will serve individuals experiencing housing instability and will be grounded in clinical excellence and cultural humility.

Vision:

Respite Suites will open one of Chicago’s South Side’s first dedicated medical respites, providing unhoused adult (18yr+) residents with a safe, food-secure place to heal when they are too sick to return to the community but not ill enough for the hospital. We will reduce reliance on emergency rooms by offering dignified care and connecting patients to wraparound services that support recovery and stability. By filling this critical gap, Respite Suites will interrupt the cycle of homelessness and help more South Side residents rebuild their health and their lives. We envision a Chicago where every adult recovering from illness or injury has access to a safe, supportive space for healing regardless of housing or income.
