My nephew Skyler had a way about him that is hard to put into words, but impossible to forget. He carried a kind of light that made people feel important and loved, no matter who they were. It showed in the way he smiled, the way he laughed, and the way he loved fully as himself in every moment. Skyler didn't try to make an impact, it just happened. He left a mark on everyone he met and to know him was to love him. Once you loved him, you carry a piece of him with you wherever you went.
My sister’s family stayed in Ronald McDonald Houses across several states during his treatment, which makes this work deeply personal to me. As we support RMH in his memory, we are not just remembering what we lost, we are honoring his laughter, his kindness, and the light he shared so freely.
His light still shines in all of us, and as long as we carry it forward, a part of him will always walk beside us. Want to help? Support our team and help carry Skyler’s light.
