On April 26, I’m taking steps to create some disability awareness in the Upstate of South Carolina - and I’d love for you to join me!
I’ll be participating in the Disability Awareness Walk & Roll, benefiting the SonShine Club and other special needs nonprofits. Together, we can help create awareness, be inclusive, and support the Upstate special needs community. Your support will be invaluable in my efforts to help ensure that this special community has the resources it needs to grow, be accepted, connect, and thrive.
The SonShine Club is dedicated to providing two Super Saturdays a month for adults with special needs and their caregivers. Last year, the SonShine club offered 5700 hours of respite to caregivers, served over 2000 hot meals, had an average of 97 adults with special needs in attendance. and took 4 field trips. While the SonShine Club is dedicated to ministering to adults with special needs and their caregivers, they also support, refer and collaborate with other local nonprofits to meet the needs of this community. Your participation in this event will help them continue their vital work.
Please consider joining me at Barnet Park or supporting me by making a tax-deductible donation!
Visit https://runsignup.com/Race/SC/Spartanburg/DisabilityAwarenessWalkRoll to register. If you can’t participate on race day, just a $25 donation here:https://runsignup.com/Race/179393/Donate/1x9Br080pPCUYtgV will sponsor an adult with special needs to attend a Super Saturday.
My goal is to raise $400 to support the Upstate special needs community.
Thank you for considering this opportunity, together we can make a difference!
Sincerely,
Amy Mathiason
