Premier Fence is a woman, minority and indigenous owned and family operated business located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. President, Diane Caruso, has been involved in the business since its inception. We are fortunate to be able to capitalize on our years of experience from our dedicated team.

Founder, Patrick Caruso, began working in the fence industry as a general laborer in 1977.  Pat quickly recognized his passion for building and the construction industry and within a year was working as a subcontractor specializing in wood fencing.  Pat took to heart the advice his father offered him early on. “Do your absolute best on every job and you’ll always be in demand and have plenty of work to do.”  One of the company’s commitments was to work side by side with the crews and staff in developing a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that is evident in every job.

Earning national recognition as a leading design and installation consultant, Premier has worked with Home Time Television Productions, Readers Digest Publications and many other local and national media publications.

Located in the West 7th/Highland Park area of St. Paul, Premier’s operations look much different today than it did from the garage in 1978 where it all began.  Premier’s current facility offers an indoor showroom, complete wood shop and production area, a wholesale lumber yard and complete administration facility.

Having built our reputation on high quality wood fence installations, Premier, began to recognize a demand for maintenance free products.  Premier spent a few years and carefully researched and partnered with some of the best manufacturers in the industry to meet the growing demand for products such as aluminum, ornamental iron, polyvinyl and composite fencing.  Premier also offers aluminum and vinyl deck and railing products.

Of all the accomplishments, Premier Fence really owes its success to its people.  Premier boasts one of the best staffs in the industry.  From the accurate and attentive sales staff to the friendly and professional installation crews, balanced and directed by a hardworking and dedicated office staff. Premier recognizes none of this would have been possible without their dedication and contribution.

In 2012, Founder, Patrick Caruso was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), and after a brief diagnosis, lost his battle in May of 2012 to this disease. Premier has committed to continue raising aware of histiocytosis diseases in his honor.
