Dear Family and Friends,
The Ney Family is taking part in the National Race to Cure Sarcoma in DC this Summer! We hope you can join us as part of Team Tara Tuff or consider donating or sharing the event to help increase awareness and research funds to find effective, less toxic treatments for Sarcoma, a group of cancers that primarily affect bone and connective tissue. Sarcomas make up 1% of cancer diagnoses in adults (about 17,000 yearly) and up to 20% of cancers in children and adolescents.
Our family has experienced the power of research first-hand. As a three-time survivor of Ewings Sarcoma, our daughter, Tara, has taken part in several clinical trials, to test potential new treatments, as do upwards of 90% of kids diagnosed with cancer. These trials are a result of years and years of dedicated preclinical research and give hope today to those diagnosed with Sarcoma and will set us up for a brighter future in cancer care.
We are so excited to take part in the National Race to Cure Sarcoma to support scientists who work tirelessly to increase survivorship and decrease toxicity.
Consider joining us on July 19th!
Tara, Jainen, Joseph and Michele
