We race in loving memory of my brother, Tyler, who lost his courageous 7-month battle with cardiac angiosarcoma last May. While his journey was far too short, the strength, determination, and positivity he showed throughout his fight left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him.
Ty was the kind of person who could light up any room. He always had the biggest smile on his face, and it was truly contagious. He had a great sense of humor, loved making people laugh, and found ways to bring joy to those around him, even during the hardest moments of his battle. He had a passion for traveling and experiencing new places, and if you knew Ty, you knew his love for Philly sports ran deep (Go Birds).
When Ty was diagnosed with cardiac angiosarcoma, he faced the challenge the same way he approached everything else in life—with courage, determination, and hope. Through every treatment, setback, and uncertainty, his belief that he could beat cancer never wavered. He inspired us every step of the way with his resilience, positivity, and refusal to give up.
Our family misses him every day, but we are committed to honoring his legacy by supporting sarcoma research and raising awareness for this rare and devastating disease. We participate in the Race for a Cure Sarcoma to remember Ty, and to help create a future where more patients and families have hope, more treatment options, and ultimately, a cure.
Thank you for supporting Team Ty. Every donation honors Tyler’s memory and helps continue the fight he faced with such incredible strength.
We race for Tyler—his smile, his courage, and the hope that one day no family will have to endure the loss caused by sarcoma. 💛
