Hi everyone
I am reaching out for support in my race to cure Sarcoma 2025 fundraising efforts.
Since being diagnosed 2 years ago of liposarcoma, I have had two major abdominal surgeries, the latest one being February of this year. I was hesitant to share at first about the diagnosis online or in person. I didn't want the sympathy, or I was embarrassed but most of all fear. I am realizing now that it wasn't helping me, it was making me feel isolated and I'm not bringing awareness to a rare disease that needs help.
Thanks to the care of my family and friends and a successful surgery so far. I'm grateful for each day, though I know this cancer is part of my life.
While surgery has worked for me, others with more aggressive Sarcomas face tougher treatments, making research funding crucial for improving options across the many Sarcoma subtypes.
Thank you for your generosity!
