If you know my mom, then you know her light. You know her infectious positivity, her love for life, and her incredible ability to make anyone she meets feel like family. She has always been the person who lifts others up, offers a helping hand, and brings warmth and laughter wherever she goes.
In February 2026, our world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a rare cancer called low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma. What began as a small lump quickly became a life-changing battle. On March 30, 2026, she underwent a major surgery to remove the tumor, a procedure that ultimately saved her life but came at a tremendous cost.
Since surgery, she has faced challenges that many people never see. She has lost mobility in her left leg, lives with permanent swelling, and has had to adjust to a dramatically different quality of life. Simple tasks that were once effortless now require determination, patience, and strength. Despite it all, she continues to face each day with the same courage, grace, and positivity that have always defined her.
While we remain hopeful and pray that her mobility will continue to improve with time, we know that more must be done for patients and families facing sarcoma. Sarcomas are rare cancers that often receive far less awareness and research funding than many other cancer types. No family should have to feel alone while navigating a diagnosis like this.
We are creating Team "Fran will dance again" to honor her fight, raise awareness, and support critical sarcoma research. Every dollar raised brings us one step closer to better treatments, improved outcomes, and hope for those whose lives have been forever changed by this disease.
Thank you for standing with us, supporting this cause, and helping us turn one family’s struggle into a mission that can make a difference for countless others.
For my mom, Frances — your strength inspires me every day, and your light will continue to shine brighter than ever. You will dance again 💛🎗️
