When I first noticed a lump, I didn’t think much of it, but a fortunate hernia injury forced me to check in with my Dr, whom expedited the care I need to review, schedule and take me through the next steps. When I had my first surgery I was able to get up and walk about (tho slowly) but the second surgery really took the wind out of my sails. I was amazingly fortunate to have been sent down this expedited path from Drs who were proactive, informed my surgeon, Dr Steen from @CMHshealth and his team took on my case, researched and got me through the process with amazing care and compassion, as well as the support from Dr Chmielowski and Dr Kalbasi as well as the team at @UCLAhealth for their helpful care and treatment. 

but none of this was easy, there were many ups and downs. So many unknowns and my family really suffered during this time. There were costs involved that were not covered by insurance, questions I had that felt like no one could answer until I found the folks at the sarcoma foundation and they helped to shine hope, and kindness towards my family and me. I am forever grateful to them too
