The Fresno Council on Child Abuse Prevention (FCCAP) was chartered in 1981. Whose mission is to coordinate community efforts to prevent and respond to child abuse and neglect in Fresno County.
Since 1981, FCCAP has provided a forum for inter-agency cooperation and coordination in the prevention, detection, treatment and legal processing of child abuse cases. Promoted public awareness of the abuse and neglect of children and the resources available for intervention and treatment. Encouraged and facilitated training of professionals in the detection, treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. Recommended improvements in services to families and victims. In addition to encouraging and facilitating community support for child abuse and neglect programs.
