Dear Y&R Fam,
Some bonds run deeper than agency life – and our connection with Paisley McCaffery is one of them. As many of you know, Paisley was diagnosed with Stage 2B, Grade 3, Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) five years ago. This year, as she celebrates her 50th birthday and five years since her diagnosis, she’s taking her strength and story a step further by launching something incredible: the Beach Roses Walk, happening May 17 at Hammonasset Beach.
Set against the blooming beach roses, this walk is more than symbolic – it’s a powerful call to action. Paisley founded Beach Roses Foundation LLC to raise critical funds for groundbreaking breast cancer research at Yale Cancer Center/Smilow Cancer Hospital and survivor-support initiatives like Livestrong at the YMCA. The focus? Prevention, better treatments, and improving the lives of survivors everywhere.
As proud Y&R alums, we’ve come together through brainstorms, deadlines, and late-night laughs. Now, let’s rally once more – this time, for Paisley and a future where no one has to face what she did.
I’ve created Team 285 in honor of our days at 285 Madison Ave, and we’d love for you to join us – by walking, donating, or simply spreading the word.
Whether you can give $5, $50, or just your voice, every bit brings us closer to a cure – and a world where survivors can live longer, healthier lives.
Let’s show up for Paisley the way she’s always shown up for all of us.
Warmly,
Laura Geftman
P.S. If you’ll be in the area on May 17, come walk with me and Team 285! It’s going to be a beautiful, meaningful day – and I’d love to see familiar faces among the roses. 🌸
